Gotta admit: I do love guard :) My latest side project was designing and constructing the male tunics for Kaikalino Winter Guard of 2012. The staff and I always determine the design for the girl’s outfits and ideas branch off for the boys from there. The girls wore white - the boys had white. The girls had bad-ass socks - as did the boys. Everyone had tulle somewhere on their costume. Printed fabric was chosen to further coordinate with the principle dancer which had her own unique outfit. Purple was later chosen to accent the ensemble (I had forgotten about this part).
Construction began near the beginning of April. I STRICTLY allotted myself 2 hours per session. Taking my time the process took me 6 days. That’s a fricken long time O.O 3 and half days would’ve been acceptable…
Note to self: Don’t watch Kung Fu Panda 2 while sewing >.<
